Today, I snowboarded with my mom, as my dad was having a ski lesson. By the way, my mom skiied. I tried to practice C/S turns, succeeded twice, and failed twice, and also bruised my tailbone. After that, I was more cautious and for most of the time did not practice it. At lunch, we ate at Powder 8. After that, I practiced changing direction. At the end of the day(3), I went down the path, and was doing fine, and then “accidentally” did a S-turn. After that, right in, front of the exit, this young woman was skiing with her friend and was blocking the path, and was going very slowly. I was behind them, and it got steeper and guess what… I touched her pole with the edge of my board, and somehow she toppled to the floor. I don’t even know. I apologized, and then skated to the exit. Then I returned my gear, and left.

Day 3: Starting Snowboard Lessons
I woke up around 8 in the morning, got dressed in proper attire, and ate breakfast. We left our hotel, and my dad dropped my mom and me off at Beaver Creek, and we went to rent our skis, and my snowboard gear. We then went to the school area, and my mom dropped me off. I was moved several times, to different instructors, as my C-turns and S-turns were semi-inconstant. I finally ended up with Kiel(pronounced kyle) I was finally able to sort of, “recall” the turns from last year. I was still a little rough, because it was my first day back after a year. I was still a 3+ like last year.
After eating dinner, my dad and I left our room and went to the eighth floor where the game room was. There were old school arcade games; bar games like pool, table tennis, and foosball; and several games like claw machines, and other gimicky games.
Day 2: Tubing in Vail
After resting until 2 o’ clock, we drove to Lionshead Village in Vail. We waited in the parking lot until 3, because after 3, the parking is free. In the village, when we came(in March) the village was very full, and there was a ton of people visiting. We went to the place where we bought our tickets, and the man gave us our tickets for tubing(after we bought them of course.) We went to the gondola and waited for about 3 minutes, as the gondola was free after 3:30. After we headed up, we went up to the left and entered a building. The people showed us a video of what to do and etc. We then left the building went behind the building and got our tubes. We got three runs with the tickets. We went up the hill with our tubes, on the “magic carpet.” We chose a lane, which were all seperated by a mound of snow. We had a choice of being spinned, not spinned, and going together(up to 4). You got in line waited, and brought your tube to the front, placed the strap that you pull around in the tube, and go butt first in. Then, once the predecessing tuber is out of the way, you were sent down. The first round, I spinned, the second with my mother and father, and finally, just normally. After that, we waited a bit and later went on the snow shoe walk. The walk was fairly short. It was educational and definitely not hard. The instructor was very nice.
After that, we went over to the gondola and coincidentally ran into the instructor we had during the walk. He told us about various landmarks and such.

Review: Pho 20 – 3 Stars
Pho 20 is located on 47 E. Beaver Creek Blvd Avon, CO 81620. To start off, the service was average. Not over the top, nor bad. We ordered Vegetarian Spring Rolls, the Thai Ice Tea Boba(with ice), P2 – Pho with raw beef, P5 – Pho with Shrimp, and P12 – Well done flank & brisket. The Spring rolls, were just right, except the wrap was sticky, and very hard to chew. The Thai Ice Tea with boba was most likely the worst, as the Thai Ice tea portion was way too sweet and had too little milk in it. The boba was too soaked, and not the pearly, squishy texture of the expectancy, some of the bobas were hard, and some were the opposite and were way too easy to bite through. The Pho was not per say authentic, but was most likely made of chicken broth. We gave a 15% tip.
I would not recommend this, but it is not horrible, or bad.
Day 1: Colorado
We flew to Atlanta at 5:10am, I slept during the majority of the flight, and when we arrived, I was still exhausted, and I slept for three hours, and we got crepes over near our gate at the airport. We got in the plane. We had a woman sitting next to us, so we moved to a empty row, as there was many empty seats. I slept the majority of this flight, waking up 46 minutes before arrival. I listened to my favorite artist, Ariana Grande, as we arrived here at the Eagle Vail, Colorado airport. My mom, and I went to the baggage claim area to pick up our bags. Some bags came out in a very single file line fashion and then the baggage belt stopped. We then regrouped with my father. He then went to his baggage area, picked up his bags and brought them over. About 15 minutes passed and we found our bags. My dad went to pick up the keys to our rental car, and then we finally jumped in the car and traveled to our hotel, The Sheraton. We checked in and took our bags up to our room. Our room was a suite room, it had a bathtub in the bedroom, a living area, a kitchen, and a large bathroom. The bathroom had a seperate shower and had a door leading to the toilet. The porch had a gas barbecue, and has two chairs. The room was comfy. We then went to eat at Pho 20, went grocery shopping, and came back to the hotel. We are now at the hotel. We may leave on the bus for Beaver Creek and ice skate. We are planning on using the barbecue outside for steak.
Leaving for Vail, Colorado
On Monday 13 of March 2017, we’ll be leaving from TPA Int’l Airport to Atlanta and from there to Vail, Colorado. This is during my 2016-2017 school year spring break. We will be staying there for seven days, and leaving on the following Monday, the 20th. I will be taking three days of snowboarding lessons at Beaver Creek. My mother and father will be skiing. I went to Beaver Creek last winter(2015) and I took lessons.
